Upper Bay Quilters currently have two ongoing projects that anyone can participate in. One is the ConKerr Cancer project that distributes pillow cases to childrens hospitals around our region.Ashley with a ConKerr pillow case. Over 18,000 pillow cases have been donated to hospitals like Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Nemours Alfred I. duPont hospital in Delaware, and Shriner's Hospital to name just a few. Upper Bay Quilters' own Ashley Malinowski can provide you with more information on this worthy project or you can view a document with a link to the ConKerr web site here.

Another ongoing project some members are involved in is the Quilts of Valor Foundation. This organization brings together folks who love to make quilt tops and those with a talent for doing longarm quilting in order to provide handmade quilts for our wounded A quilt for Quilts of Valor service men and women at home and abroad. Upper Bay Quilters are currently involved in creating quilt blocks for finished tops. We also have some members who have supplied their talent with a longarm machine to create finished quilts for QOV. You can see a document with the current block design here. You can also visit our links page and access the home page of Quilts of Valor from there.

Of course, there is always time at each meeting to share your latest work of art with the group.

Not all quilting projects take two people to display. Another fine quilt by one of our members. Are our members talented or what?
