The Upper Bay Quilters hold a meeting once a month on the 3rd Thursday of the month. We meet at the Good Shepherd Parish House in Chesapeake City. The doors open at 6:30pm and the meeting starts at 7:00pm.
For those members who are new to quilting we have a series of short quilting technique demonstrations that begin at 6:30. These demonstrations cover basic concepts like the 1/4" seam, rotary cutting techniques, constructing the block, and chain piecing.
Our meetings are not just about providing instruction, after all we do want to have fun while we learn. The meetings also feature door prizes, raffles, and a 50/50.
You may also want to join some of your fellow quilters for the early bird dinner at The Yacht Club restaurant in Chesapeake City before the monthly meeting. Reservations are needed for the dinner meetings. Members can see our newsletter through our Yahoo! group for contact information.
Our meetings are held at the Good Shepherd Parish House located at 310 George St. in South Chesapeake City MD.
